I’m Clare,
owner of Your Easy Move

My journey to becoming a professional move manager has been some 40 years in the making.

My family have owned successful furniture removal businesses since the 1970s. My father was Harrods trained and dedicated his working life to the moving industry, whilst my brother built strong ties with real estate agents and solicitors to become a preferred and trusted supplier for estate related moving.

It’s this background that provided part of the foundation for creating Your Easy Move. However, I also bring my own experience.

I’ve moved home some 9 times in the past 18 years, including moving to New Zealand from the UK almost 20 years ago.

While much of my working life has been spent in project management and communications roles in the corporate and government sectors, a family trauma 13 years ago forced me to look for a job with a different focus.

I replied to an advert on Seek for an Organising Consultant and a few weeks later started working with people who needed help getting organised at home for a variety of reasons.

Some were elderly clients looking for a senior move manager to help when downsizing into a retirement village, some were busy parents trying to achieve some sort of order in their home, while other clients just needed help getting started for a project – getting the office sorted, packing for a move, getting organised for a renovation.

I worked with many clients during that time and have now, some years later, created Your Easy Move as a way to connect with my community, do the work I enjoy most and help New Zealanders experience stress-free moving.

How we work

We always adapt our approach and service to your individual needs. Generally, our approach is:

Step 1: We’ll visit you in your home or, if you prefer, talk to you by phone or Zoom.
Step 2: We’ll listen to your needs and goals and put together a tailor-made move package just for you.
Step 3: We’ll set to work on getting our trusted staff and suppliers prepared to make your move easy, stress-free and enjoyable for you.

When we’re helping you, we’ll work at the pace you need. We understand sometimes this may mean working really efficiently to meet a tight deadline, other times taking things a bit slower, perhaps spending time reminiscing when packing away personal items.

Earth conscious

Your Easy Move is an environmentally conscious business. This means we always keep mother earth and charities in mind when helping you with your move.

Where possible, we use recycled packing materials so we’ll happily take your clean, intact packing boxes and wrapping away for future use. When buying new packaging we’ll aim to purchase eco friendly products.
